We had a busy afternoon at Welcome House on Wednesday 15th April, with stalls from Smokefree Hull offering support to stop smoking and Hull Primary Care Addictions Service spreading awareness of drugs and alcohol dependency.
our service users flocked to the stalls for information (and free lollipops and pens). Many signed up for one-to-one support to stop smoking.

There were informative posters, a jar of smoker’s ‘phlegm’ a model of a pair of lungs and another jar showing what lungs look like when they are drenched in tar from smoking.

The team from Smoke Free Hull will be returning to Welcome House soon to offer short training session to our staff and volunteers on smoking awareness.
